Why Medusa? Medusa was a beautiful woman that became a victim of SA. Athena then blamed and punished Medusa for the assault, so she cursed Medusa to transform into the monster that she became famous for. Medusa used her curse and turned it into her power. Her story has been reclaimed by the survivor community as a symbol of strength, resilience, power, and a mark of protection against evil.
